A New Years Feast
To celebrate this year’s end, I’ve decided to keep things as low key as possible, as I’m really looking forward to some down time and just relaxing. My New Years Eve will entail a great dinner at home, some bubbly, and sparklers to ring in 2012.
I found a fitting dish, packed with flavour for the festivities; a roasted lobster with a spicy smoked paprika chorizo, basil infused corn & potato purée. You can get the recipe HERE courtesy of Anthony Sedlak from The Food Network. My only recommendation would be to use just a small fraction of the recommended butter quantities. This dish won’t disappoint; whether it’s for a dinner party or just for two.

I love getting all dressed up for New Years Eve; whether I’m attending a party or a quiet dinner, I look to add an element of sparkle. Enchanting Table
When decorating, I love mixing natural elements with modern décor. In my most recent DIY make-over, I took a dried out tree stump and painted it white to create a rustic chic side table/stool for the apartment. I was debating on removing the bark, but in the end decided that I preferred the added texture when painted. I added a Carnival de Paris candle (recently gifted) and my mini Eiffel tower (also gifted by friends) to complete the look.
